LineDroppers Half Year Report Card
Six months ago today we launched http://www.linedroppers.com. We were shooting for 100 user and 100 submissions by spring and I am happy to tell you that we now have 205 users and 203 submissions! Those 203 submissions cover 25 states and 44 species of fish.
What about traffic? In our first month of operation we had less than 3,000 visitors. Last month we had 13,000.
If you haven't visited the site lately, we added the ability to search for submissions using a real satellite map image. You can zoom in to your favorite fishing area and see the quantity and types of fish caught for a given body of water. I put a lot of effort into getting the exact long/lat coordinates for our submissions so I currently have 40% of the locations plotted. If you don't see your area, it will show up soon.
We also modified the graphics a bit and will continue to do so as we grow.
What's to come in the future? I have been talking to various fishing equipment manufacturers about promotional pricing so we can give away some equipment! I'll have a few announcements soon.
